In line/duct silencers.

Hi all. I have purchase an Aldes ERV to install in my small 600 sq ft space. Using small mr cool mini splint...which works amazing. Need fresh air obviously, so the ERV unit should suffice. My question is: Has anyone used the Phresh in line “muffler” as opposed to the silencer boxes? Thanks to all David Chattanooga tn

Hey David, The only thing I can tell you is that the "muffler" you're talking about is used for machinery and not for recording studios. I had considered the same options as you and I everyone has recommended to build custom silencer boxes for my particular application. I will do the same and recommend that you design custom silencer boxes specifically for your application. Unfortunately there's no way around this and will require some calculations in order to suite your needs. I'm actually in the process of designing my entire HVAC system and am now at the point of trying to figure sizing and location of my silencer boxes. They're big, they're huge but they're a must if you want best isolation. Hope this helps! Francis,
