Hi, I have been fortunate to have been given a lot of chipboards (in spanish, tableros de aglomerado). Most of them look like got a DM finish on their faces. With a lot of chipboards I mean more than 25 boards of 244cm x 122cm x 3cm (weighting around 50Kg each). and another 25 or so of 244cm x 122cm x 1.9cm (weighting around 35Kg). I am in the middle of building a studio and I thought that I could use them to make the walls, which at first I thought would be drywall13 + MAD4 + PYL15 but that gives me the impression that it would work better (get more isolation) with chipboard19 + MAD4 + Chipboard30 . Do you think these chipboard walls would work better than drywall? I thought that if you did, I might want to paint the boards to seal their porous condition. Would that be advisable? By the way, I'm attaching the PDF for MAD4. Thanks a lot.

Ok, found my answer. Chipboards are not suitable for this kind of project. They need Expansion joints too thick to be. Cheers
