hi. I have some baffles that "i think" is built to screen of sound in an office or industrial enviroment. they are made off a steele frame with some soft material inside. i noticed when i dissambled the " baffle" its a wooden frame with a soft medium soft material inside. I was wondering if i monted this to the wall with a wooden frame behind it "so i get a air cavity" can i use it as acoustic treatment.
Rock, > can you use office baffles as acoustic treatment < Yes, probably. But it depends on what's inside them. Also, unless they're very thick, you probably won't get much improvement at the lowest frequencies. --Ethan
I've used some at my old house. Depending on your application, yes they work fine. I see them used in several studios for isolation or separation in a large room. I also used them in a hallway just to absorb the nasty reflections. Worked fine for what I used them for. Aaron
