Here's my tiny (14'3" x 8') control room. "Control room" might be overstating things as I do location recording exclusively, so this room is more of an edit bay - all I do here is compile and edit location recordings. The building was renovated into studio space many years ago, so the rooms are reasonably well constructed: floated floors with independent walls, acoustical ceilings with insulation, solid core doors with heavy weather stripping, etc. My biggest problem has been nasty flutter echo at my monitor position due to the parallel walls only 8ft apart. The 2ft x 4ft x 4 inch mineral fiber panels (blue) have solved this completely.
