new studio construction

hi all, firstly may i say ,,, great site, just what i was looking for. i am thinking of building a studio/jam room at the bottom of my garden, approx 4.5m x 3m. on a post and frame deck , my question is,,,,, has anyone used metal stud instead of timber for the wall and roof construction? i was thinking 6 inch with a construction of ,,, cladding,breather,osb,stud( with 3inch celotex and 3 inch acousti-slab) ,soundblock pb. any suggestions are welcome and i will be needing advice left right and centre as im not a builder . many thanks in advance,

Yes, several forum members have done that. If you look through their threads, you'll see that they were successful.

What do you mean by "breather"?
cladding,breather,osb,stud( with 3inch celotex and 3 inch acousti-slab) ,soundblock pb.
You'd probably be better off going with a more common technique, such as the typical one used by most forum members, and most professional studio designers. - Stuart -
