Hi I'm building this small tracking and control room but I need some advice on the acoustic treatment for the 2 rooms, the tracking is on the left and the control room on the right in the 3rd pic.
In the control room I'm thinking in basstraps on the front and a big diffuser on the back but I have that small box in the door area that I dont know if its a big problem or not.
In the tracking room I'm thinking in basstraps, and a diffuser in the wall opposite to the window the rest I don't know yet.
What do you recommend?
best regards
Bernardo

Hi. Please read the forum rules for posting (click here). You seem to be missing a couple of things! :)
What "3rd pic"? You only posted one pic...the tracking is on the left and the control room on the right in the 3rd pic.
That's a small room: it will need much more bass trapping than just the front corners. Apart from the bass trapping, you will also need absorption at the first reflection points more between the speakers and the front wall, the entire back wall, and a ceiling cloud. In the control room I'm thinking in basstraps on the front
What type of diffuser? That's a small room, and therefore most types of diffuser would not be appropriate. Especially ones based on numeric sequences...and a big diffuser on the back
Perhaps, perhaps not. You'd need to provide more info about "the box" in order to determine the answer.I have that small box in the door area that I dont know if its a big problem or not.
What is the purpose of the tracking room? In other words, what will you be tracking? What instruments, how many, what musical genre, how loud, etc. - Stuart -In the tracking room I'm thinking in basstraps, and a diffuser in the wall opposite to the window the rest I don't know yet.

The box has 1m x 0,8m, its not that big I suppose.
thanks
