Hi guys! So I've been studying all the info from this board lately, and what we've landed on for our studio build will be doing the live room with a double leaf system, two sheets of drywall on each side, green glue, roxul, 4 inch air gap, all that jazz. You can see photos of the space here. Our job is to keep as much sound out of the neighbouring units as possible. I attached a quick drawing of the new space. The bigger room will be the live room.
We have most of the materials priced out, our budget is about $15,000, and we're doing absolutely as much as possible to keep material costs down, because a lot of the harder building will be done by contractors.
I just have a few questions. We're going to do the double leaf system inside the existing walls, so said and done there will be three walls from inside the live room to the adjacent units. My biggest question is, in a double leaf system, do we need to do two ceilings? One built on the outside leaf and one on the inside leaf? I'm having the most trouble understanding that too.
I will be using this thread as half questions and half updates throughout the build! I really appreciate all the help!
Thanks
New Toronto Studio build.

Hi there Sam, and Welcome to the Forum! :)
Unfortunately, the hosting service for the forum screwed up when they moved us to a new server last week, and they somehow managed to lose all photos that were uploaded between the 15th and 21st of December... including yours! So if possible, please could you upload it again. Just edit your post and re-insert the photo in the correct place. That should fix it!
Sorry about the problem!!!
