I have a small room 5ft x 6ft x 8ft. The ceilings are cement and the walls are sheet rock. I wanna turn it into a small MIXING studio what should I do? Im in Chicago, IL No pictures right now, its just a square box.
Hi "oddmanout". A good place to start is to read the forum rules for posting (click here). You seem to be missing a couple of things! :) I'd suggest that you read these two books: "Master Handbook of Acoustics" by F. Alton Everest (that's sort of the Bible for acoustics), and "Home Recording Studio: Build it Like the Pros", by Rod Gervais. You say your room measures "5 x 6 x 8": Is that meters or feet? If that's meters, then you are probably OK for a control room. If that is feet, then it would be good for a vocal booth or isolation booth. - Stuart -
