I'm just beginning the process of sealing the outer leaf of an existing 10'X20' shed.
First question of many, no doubt.
Would it make sense to Green Glue in-between OSB and Sheetrock layers of the outer leaf?
I know to use acoustical sealant and backer rod around the perimeter of the sheets, but I couldn't find any reference to this.
Thanks for your help,
Jed
Green Glue Between Beef-Up Layers

Hi Jed, and Welcome to the Forum! :)
Yes, GG can help. It is a constrained layer damping compound that will help to reduce some types of resonance in the leaf, regardless of whether it is an inner leaf or an outer leaf.
That said, do you need it? To determine that, we'd need to know how much isolation you need (in decibels), and the lowest frequency that you need to isolate.
So to answer your actual question: Yes, it will work. But add to that another question: does your situation warrant the extra cost? In other words, if you do need that extra boost in low frequency isolation to meet your target, then great. If not, then there's no harm in doing it anyway, of course, except the harm it causes to your wallet... :)
