Hello everyone! I have been pouring over previous threads regarding basement builds in this forum and have learned an incredible amount! First I want to say thanks to everyone who is part of this community and shares as much as you do. A little background about me and what I am trying to do. Me and my wife are purchasing a home and should be closing on it at the end of this month. We specifically chose this home for several reason, nice neighborhood, plenty of space between homes, and of course a basement big enough to build a studio in. I play in a local band here in North Carolina and have recorded several bands in the area. Most of what I play and record is hard rock, heavy metal, punk, etc. Most of the bands that I record like to record one track at a time, but I have been getting more request from bands to do live recordings, and I would like to be able to offer that in the future. The basement of the home has one standing sheet rock wall already that divides the basement, along this wall is the water heater and the heat pump. This wall will probably be tore out to make way for a properly built wall. The walls of the basement are cinder block, the floors are concrete. I have a large floor space in the basement and I believe it would be ideal to have a mix room, live track room/drum room, guitar amp booth, bass amp booth, vocal booth, and a couple of storage closets. I have been looking at my floor plan for the last couple of days while reading Rod Gervais Home Recording: Build it like the pros book, but I honestly cannot decide the best way to do the floor plan, and where to put what. In the drawing I have included, I had thought about putting the control room, vocal booth, guitar booth, and bass booth on the left to the wall that divides the basement. I have drawn a line on the garage side of the basement and plan on creating another wall there. Also to explain some things that I have drawn in is the stairwell, and a hall way that ruins along the wall of the basement. Dimensions are included on the drawing except height of the ceiling, the ceiling is around 9 foot tall, and when finished I plan of having 8 foot ceilings in the studio. Also lastly, I would like to be a good neighbor, and avoid having the cops called every time that I track a band. So I am looking for a decent amount of isolation from the outside. There is a good amount of distance from all my neighbors except from the neighbors along the garage side of the basement. If you guys need anymore information please let me know!! Thanks so much

I have been looking at using this design as my control room design and changing the measurements from 10'10" wide to 12', and from 13'6" in length to 13' with 8 foot tall ceilings, based of of the results of the mode calculator that I used here
Again my room measurments with this would be
Length 13
Width 12
Height 8
If this is a bad idea please let me know! Thank you
