Hello!
After almost ten years recording in my small space, and renting bigger studios to do some projects, I've decided it's high time to do something big. Now, or newer ;-)
Here are the details:
- I can build that studio from scratch. (Europe - Poland)
- No noisy factors, no busy roads, airports. It's situated almost in a middle of nowhere ;-)
- The idea is to build a great live room (maximum 80 sq. meters), where I can record rock/pop/live bands.
- Live drum sound is my main goal. I want 3/4 iso booths (maybe special amp iso room), so I can record whole band with great isolation between instruments.
- I have no idea how height it should be...
- My biggest influences are (vibe, live room size) : Blackbird D, and East West studio 2.
- I've attached raw floor plan with my idea of all my goals, but I didn't put any measurements of walls - Can someone tell me are there any good proportions that I can use ?
- I didn't include any residential area, because I want to use 1st floor for that use.
- I want to use wood, bricks, rocks as acoustic materials ;-) (no hifi stuff, just the real vibe ;-)
Please - let me know if You have any suggestions about sizes of live room, iso booths, control room. I will read any post about that, and I will appreciate any comments, I know that If I will decide to build that studio I will need a specialist that will help me with acoustics, but at this first phase of designing it - please help me guys ! ;-)
Thank You
Martin
