I am beginning to design my studio and would like help from the guys here.
I am uploading some pics and basic design so you get the idea.
My goal is to build a project studio that is at a commercial grade level since the two important markets of Nashville, TN and Atlanta, GA are both 2.5 hours away. Nashville in the North and Atlanta in the South. I am smack dab in the middle. So I have a lot of musicians who are making the travel in order to get quality recordings done.
I am looking at putting an API console for this control room, with Focal new Alpha 80 monitors and have a pair of JBLs for reference monitors.
I want to spend $25,000US on the build out and I am spending another $50,000 on Equipment and gear.
The room is in a warehouse type building. The ceiling in the control room was at 8ft, however I plan to remove the ceiling tiles so i have all the space to the top of the warehouse and build my own ceiling, which would allow me to have approximately 11-12ft ceilings. I am gutting and building from scratch so I am going to studs and rebuild.
Total area to work within:
Control Room Area is 30ft Deep X 20 ft Wide X 11 ft High.
Vocal Booth Live Room would be 27 ft Wide X 11ft Deep X 10.5 ft high
I have an option for another ISO booth if i wish which would be 16ft Wide X 8.5ft Deep X 11ft
Floor is currently concrete slab.
This is an electrical panel on the wall of the "Iso Booth" so I need to build a casing around it.
This is a blank canvas and I can add walls and remove walls. This is in the corner of the warehouse so the walls for the proposed Live room are all concrete blocks as well of one of the walls for the ISO booth.
All other walls are gypsum and MDF.
