I'm working on laying out a new mix studio in my basement. Room is decent , but L shaped which makes it hard to find a "perfect" mix position. I'm currently using mix position A and haven't heard any major deficiencies and mixes translate pretty well with exception of being bass heavy (currently on 6inch monitors), but I am about to put in absorbers so before I do that I thought I would get some opinions. Ceilings are 7'10". Thanks guys!! http://i1369.photobucket.com/albums/ag227/Jeremy_Haines/mix-pos-A_zpsd3196c97.jpg http://i1369.photobucket.com/albums/ag227/Jeremy_Haines/mix-pos-B_zps57c47dae.jpg
Position A is much better. Symmetry on either side of the mix position is very important.
