Ok, Got zippo response from my last post, hope this one is better. Gotta garage, you know the rest... ONE control room TWO iso booths Feel free to rip it to shreds! I'm a man, I can take it. Rub some dirt in, it's all good! ( It's a smartdraw file) ENJOY!

:D John, Thank you SO MUCH for your design idea. I just had to add a door to be able to access the gas furnace and water heater. I have been racking my meager little brain for a week now trying to come up with a workable design. Easy access to control room from the house, visual contact with all three iso booths, plenty of room for the drummer, soffitts for monitors. Damn, you ARE good! I'm going with this design. Sink or swim, it's light years ahead of anything I would design. Thank you, Thank You, Thank you! ~Wayne 8)
Wayne, I'm going to stop posting on your link over at HR.com now since I see you've got the real pro's input. That looks just about exactly like my dream studio........hmmmmmmm Cheers, Darryl.....
Thanks Darryl for your ideas. You gave me some things to think about... I only have 6 weeks before I have to return to my 'day gig'. So I'm shooting for gutting out the garage (yard sale, Goodwill, have a shed built in the back, etc) by Sept so I can get to work on the contruction. I'll post pictures as it unfolds (maybe I'll start with one of my filthy Garage....) ~Wayne
John- Could you possibly add a few key dimensions to this sdr file, so that I can get a feel for the intended scale of this design? Or, you could just post what the width of the typical door is, and I could scale accordingly in AutoCAD... thanks jpmanis
Try this. cheers john

Ok, I know it's 2011 and I haven't been here in years, but I thought that I at least owed John the opportunity to look at the studio I built. It was based on his desgn. It was built by a company in Tacoma, WA (USA). Here's a link to my website: http://www.blissmanstudios.com Thanks again John, you designed it, and I built it! can't thank you enough! Sincerely, Wayne
