Help with studio design

I have a metal pole barn type building that is 65'x30' and I want to change the design I have for a new studio. In the back of the building I have a 15'wx10'L control room with a bath room on each side. This building was used for a church. I want to move the control room up front and I want it to be 30'wx 25'L and have a live room about 30'wx25'L and would like to ad some sound proof booths. Could some one give me some ideas? I dont have a way to draw up any plans! Thanks WBFJ

That's a big studio mate - there are many possibilities for a space that size. What sort of studio do you want? what kind of music do you want to record? rock, classical, folk etc. What sort of budget are you looking at?? etc etc. cheers john

John sorry took so long to reply I thought my picture I drawed didn't take and really forgot about it. I do Gospel music from southern gospel to rock gospel. I would really like to know how to use my space that I have. Like to have a nice control room and a live room and some vocal booths. I would use the old control room which is 15'w x 10' long for a drum booth or a vocal booth. Any suggestions!

Thanks for the reply Doni! That is some good lookin drawins! Why all the angles? How big is your control room and vocal booths?

Vocal Booths are 44 sq ft and Control Room is 266 sq ft and Studio is 471 sq ft. and John would be able to answer the angeled wall question better than I. and the outside dimensions of my design is 32 ft by 48 ft.

What is a good size for a control room? I have a 27'w x 19'L square room to deal with. How would lay it out?

What's the ceiling height your dealing with? This dimention is needed to be able to help you out better.

Split the apce in half. 13' x 19' is a nice sized control room And a nice sized Live room :)

Doni Celing is 10' high.

Go with Bryons suggestion split it in half. It will work according to M.M. Loudens ratio.
