Can you resize this picture? It doesn't fit on my 19" screen to see it well. Thanks.
Where the walls will be, it there beams or posts or anything that need to be considered?
i cant resize now, ill do it after i come home from work tonight, bassicly its a 29 by 12 ish basement, no walls yet, nothing really in the way, i can do what i want with everything

Check out Sonar Studios at the Studios Under Construction site. http://johnlsayers.com/Studio/index.htm cheers john
you think that would be the best bet for the size of my room? i like that layout actually, with the skewed walls. should i favor more room to the drum room or the control room u think? ian
Favor more room to the control room. Bryan Giles
how much should i favor the control room? how should i devide it...foot wise.
Well it depends on how big you NEED the drum room, your space is similar to mine (26x12) more exactly 26x11.5 (was mine). My Live room is 12x10, Fits a nice full drum kit and a Bass player or 8 people comfortably. I get a great Drum sound out of her. Of Course it gets loud in there when the Drummer cranks it up. LOL My Control room is 13x11. Fits about 6 people (max) 4 comfortably. So I;d probablt got 12x14 on the CR and 11x12 on the live room based on your dims. (25x12) I saw a nother dim that said 29x12) if so then I;g go more like 12x18 for the CR and 11x12 for the live room. Realize these are ruff dimensions for the room without treatments. Just my suggestions. My Clients spend more time in the CR than in the booth. and wehn we cut sessions, I usually have bass and keys in the CR/ Drums in LR and add Gtr later or run him through a pod or something while he is in the CR. Bryan Giles edit: I read to fast and realized you wanted 3 rooms. I would take the Sonar layout and proption it to your layout. I wouldnt go smaller than 13x12 on the CR. Perhaps the gtr room/vocal booth at about 7x12 and then your drum room about 10x12 Seems reasonable to me and not too claustrophobig to the gtr player.
