After a LONG hiatus from the site and taking a number of years to find the perfect parcel of land for my family, we are SETTLED...
After learning SOOOO MUCH I have decided it is time to build my Next Studio and hopefully LAST studio
The construction will be a recycling style project using pallets for the BULK of the build.
I haven't decided the SIZE of the build. I do have 33 acres to work with so space is NOT an issue. We have already picked out the spot we want to build it at. The area from tree line to hill is about 24 x 30. Al that space cane be used for this build.
Proposed Build Spot:

Necessary Details. It must be built above ground. a Pier and Beam Foundation is fine with me. Need to field ideas for floor isolation between the rooms with this style of construction.
I am about 4 weeks out from starting the foundation for this build. This is just my planning stage.
I used to have a sweet plan for a 2400 sq ft studio that I gleaned from the site. Have not been able to find it. This plan was posted back in 2003/2004
It had 3 live rooms. That would be an almost ideal plan for how I would envision my studio.
If anyone remembers such a plan, please point me to it. My desktop crashed a few years back and all that got lost.
New Land, New Studio, New Ideas... Thinking of the design...

welcome back Bryan. Good to see you again after all these years :)
Great to see your back Bryan - this looks like its gonna be one heck of a space; I will be following with great anticipation!
All the best,
Andy
Hey John, Glad to be back. I've lurked but not participated much sine 2010. Been transient trying to find the perfect plot of dirt for us. Now that we are here and our personal house build is underway, my wife and I are ready to complete our Last?? Studio LOL...
As it stands I am slightly undecided about WHERE to place it on the property.
We know we want something substantial in size. We have a bunch of projects in mind.
Once we get our House completed I will be around a lot more...
Welcome back, Bryan! I'm really looking forward to seeing this project unfold.

Bryan,
That plot looks amazing, 33acres would be pretty nice! I'll be watching your thread carefully, I hope to break ground this year on 3 acres, a new home and studio build as well, trying to go through some posts and gather ideas :) I have not come accross a 2200sqft design though, if i see it, i'll send it your way.
