Hi Guys,
This will be my first post on this forum, have to say it's incredibly interesting all the information here!
But, i have some questions which i couldnt find a good answer to.
I understand that the RFZ model for a controlroom is propably the best. I took this to start drawing and ended up with this. Sorry for the .pdf file, i'm used to work with autocad.
The dimensions i had some problems with so ill post them here:
The width of the control room: 558,65 CM
Depth of the CR: 665,60CM
Live room width: 326CM
Depth live room: 691CM
Im not very sure about ratios and dimensions in a control room, however, i tried to make the angels 6 degrees and 30 degrees. The small rectangle in the upper middle is a 3 piece rackspace, 80CM high. I don't think this will be a problem for the hearing position. The big crosses at the bottom of the CR in the small rectangles are windows.
The vocal booth i do not know for sure which dimensions to use, but i will take johns design as a start.
Now the questions: do these rooms have good sizes? are they too much, or do i need to change angles?
I hope to post 3D images very soon!
Thanks in advance!

Hi guys,
I overlooked the Newcomers Topic, so i'll try to do my best to give as much info as possible.
this is the 3D image/ sketchup file of the room i had in mind, i tried to translate it from autocad to sketchup.
The monitors will probably be the Quested HQ210 which i would like to flush mount.
We reserved about 8000 euros for the construction / acoustics.
The good thing is, that we have a completely open space, so the rooms can all be adjusted and don't have to be a certain width, or length. Max height is 4 meters. Of course there is no such thing as an ideal room, but what would come close?
Should the control room be longer length (like the design) or better in the width?
The upload is first the controlroom and the space i have for the studio. This would be the half of the square (at the 0 point).
I hope someone can give me some advice about the controlroom, so i won't make stupid mistakes!
Thanks
Hi there Fabian. Welcome. Please read the forum rules for posting (click here). You seem to be missing a couple of things! :) That's probably the reason you aren't getting many replies here.
