Ceiling Construction Help

As part of my degree i have to create a studio from scratch. I chose to create a post production studio. i was wondering if the ceiling below is structurally sound if not could could you tell me whats wrong with it or link me to a resource with the answers all the principles are correct, im just unsure of the design and shape. also i was told that the beams should be horizontal is this the case? any criticisms welcome, im hear to learn thanks

The only person who can tell you that for sure is a qualified structural engineer. You might be able to get a rough idea by checking span tables, but the final go/no-go decision can only be taken by a structural engineer.

Well, there are some issue with the principles too, actually, and in a very real sense, the principles depend on the design and the shape! For example, you don't need to angle the entire ceiling, you are cutting off the rear corners of the room right where your bass traps should be, and you seem to have a door at the first reflection point on the right wall. That's just the things that are noticeable from the two views you show: There might be other issues that become visible from different angles. - Stuart -
