basic layout of control room for 2.1

How's this layout for a control room? I am going to be doing a 2.1 setup but may upgrade to 5.1 later, so you can ignore the extra speakers for now.

Several issues I see. The biggest is that your head is right in the middle of the room! Worst possible place. For those dimensions, your head should be about 7 feet from the front wall. The next issue is the huge difference in distance for the sub as compared with the mains: you will need to put delays on the mains to compensate for that. It would be better to have them at the same distance. You don't mention the height, so it's hard to say if that's a good ratio or not, but the room does seem rather long and narrow. - Stuart -
