hi,
I am wondering if some of you have the suggestion of which oil to use to oil and wax an oak parquet in a studio and control room.
Synthetic, natural, what are the possible tricks.
As I have been reading, the lacquer will provide an frequency response close and similar to lets say linoleum I decided for oil.
Parquet is not supposed to be sanded as fine as a "normal" for home lacquer but rather coarse which will allow oil to penetrate better and still to have less reflections on upper part of a spectrum.
As i am located in EU, any help or suggestion with European products is greatly appreciated.
I have on my disposal:

I really can't help you much there! I don't know anything at all about oiling parquet. Sorry!
Also you DO need to fill in your location if you want continued help on this forum.
You have been told about this many times, but you still ignore it...

hi Soundman!
I ended oiling it with a Synteco Natural from the last post.
It looks fantastic, all the curves of the oak surface got their individual natural shapes and gradation.
It just makes sense that upper freq. response can not be as bright as with lacquer (probably very subtle difference), and it feels and looks comfortable.
cheers,
