Hi, I am going to build a room partially inside my shed. The shed currently has iron cladding. I am looking to open one side of the shed to push the room outside therefore make half inside and half outside. The outside would be constructed with a concrete slab floor and timber frame walls ( no windows) roughly 4m x 4m x 2.4m High. The inside part will step up to only 2m high and 3m x 3m square. It will have two timber frame walls, one with a door and one iron wall which I will insulate and sheet with acoustic gyprock. I am thinking of using Rockwool for all wall and ceiling insulation. Maybe something extra on the internal walls where needed such as hanging curtain type material or sonex tiles. Sound quality is most important but in saying that I have some neighbours but they don't whinge to much. I have attached a rough drawing to give you some idea of what I'm on about. I'm from Tumut, NSW......As John would know...it does get a tad cold in these parts and I need somewhere nice to practice in a band situation and do a few recordings. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers Clayton

Hi.....Scrap the inside part. I have decided to do it completely outside. The roof will be attached to the existing as shown but with all timber frames I will have a 50mm gap between the shed wall and the new room. I will make the outside room approx 4m x 5m.
