Hello everyone! I went through the requirements sticky a few times but pardon me if I forget a thing or two as I've had a long day and am exhausted, but here goes (Location is in profile! :P) Goal : Designing my studio for music production (no recording) and mixing. A control/mixing room basically. I cannot build it from scratch, the room is one of the which are in my basement. Walls are made of gyp rock and have planks of wood behind the gyp rock that hold the construction as well as fiberglass insulation. The floor is ceramic with cement under it. 75-87 SPL db range is the volume I would mix at. The basement room is underground and the neighbor's house is quite far given that their garage is the nearest thing so shouldn't be much of an issue. All the dimensions are in the provided pictures. Please let me know if I've forgotten anything. I'm going to build my studio desk after I buy treatment most probably. Which will be 80 inches in length maximum (placed near the wall opposing the one with the window) If anything , simply recommend the best positioning for monitors and I will build accordingly. Also about the budget. If possible as well...I would like to have more than one option as far as $ goes. Say 500$ 1000$ option and 1500$ option. (sorry for the trouble!) My monitors are Mackie MR8 MK2's and I plan getting either Genelec 8030a's or 8040a's to add to my setup as main monitors while I'll keep these for reference so if possible keep that in mind. They also have the bass reflex on the back. I'm a music producer ( see artists like Wildstylez, Headhunterz, Frontliner) and I will be producing in that room. An enormous Thank you! :P Feel free to recommend anything! As far as treatment goes, I would rather buy pre-built panels and such, however if the difference is of light and day, I can resort to D.I.Y. . Please don't hesitate if you have anything in mind! Cheers!
