Hi
This is my first post here. I have been amazed at all the fantastic discussions and recommendations at this forum.
Diagrams of my room are below. Structural (constructional) modifications are not an option at this point. My only other option would be to move to the basement with lower ceilings and dampness.
The first diagram shows my previous set-up. The second diagram shows the current set-up and planned placement of bass traps as suggested by Ethan Winer.
Questions:
1. what would make this room better???
2. speakers in front of the windows or against the long wall???
3. if speakers are in front of the windows, should I place freestanding 705 boards (on PVC stands) in front of the windows, side walls for hi-mid freq absorption ???
4. would the be any benefit to "walling off" the bottom of the L with free standing 705 to make the room more rectangular???
Input greatly appreciated!!!!

Hi
The dimensions are wrong. I used a graphics program for dimensioning. When I scaled the drawing the program dutifully changed the dimensions. Sorry for the confusion.
Long wall: 14' L
Opposite wall: two 7' lengths due to the L-shape
front/window wall: 9'10" W
Room width at rear: 14' W
Tub/computer room: 4' L X 5' W
Hi
I know this is less than an ideal situation. Any input appreciated.
Either way really - the beauty of Ethan's units is you can move them around until it sounds right :)
cheers
