Hi there, I plan to create a new control room and wonder if it would be possible to go all-modular for the acoustic treatment ? Like create removable corner bass traps (basically, regular corner traps with a wood backing) and standalone slat walls, etc. Or is it preferable to install acoustic treatment right on the walls/gypsum boards ? Thanks a lot,
There's no real difference, acoustically, if your treatment is modular or not. So that certainly is a possibility. - Stuart -
Hey Stuart, Thanks a lot for your input! I will probably have only 3-4 weeks to build the next control room so building the modules in advance would make sense.
