How did you light your studio?

What have you done for lighting that worked well? In his book, Rod Gervais endorses LED lighting. Anyone use that in their studio? Any other ideas or recommendations? I went online searching for LED lighting systems and found it a bit confusing. I wonder how well they'd light a whole room, which is an issue that Rod raises himself. For me the choice is between LED and incandescent. In my last studio, we used standard incandescent track lighting, which was okay I guess. What do you think?

I have used flush fitting fire/acoustic rated spots with GU10 bulbs but will change them over to GU10 LED bulbs as they need replacing :D
make sure you have a desk and a few chairs
Seriously? In a studio, you think a desk and chairs are needed? What wisdom! :) Maybe a fold-up chair would be good in a 6' x 6' live room? What do you think? - Stuart -
