any ideas on wall shapes and layout would be great. The studio floor is a concret slab. Would it be better to float the CR floor or both the live and CR ? Where should i put bass traps and coner acoustic treatment ? thanks for your help matt d

Well, first off, try to make the control room symmetrical on each side of the listening position. That angled wall throws off the symmetry, and it'll make your stereo image sound unbalanced. There's piles and piles of posts around here on how and where to place your sound treatment and bass traps, so I won't type it all out again. They're under so many different post subjects that you'll probably just have to read as many of these posts as you can. Hope this helps!
cheers mate, any suggestions for the live room ? Is it a good idea to float both floor and if so where do i find a DIY insturctional for floating floors ? thanks

Is it a good idea? Yes. Is it worth it for you? Only you can answer that. For DIY instruction start with the sticky "Floating a florr on concrete" or similar in the studio construction on this site. Have fun! Andre
