Please see old thread here for background (which I posted in the wrong place): viewtopic.php?f=2&t=17504 It's been a while since I posted on here because I've been busy with work. I've managed to create a few models in Sketchup to show the layout of the place - which is still empty right now - 21mx12m open space. Some of that space needs to be offices and warehouse but I've had a go at partitioning a live room and control room on the floor above as shown in the design. I'd appreciate if anyone could take a look and let me have some feedback on whether it looks OK or what changes you'd make? I've put in a small mezzanine floor from the control room out into the live room - will probably have some sort of stairs leading up in that space too. It's just a starting point. The dimensions of the control room don't look that ideal to me - is it workable? Thanks in advance

Hi Matt, and welcome to the forum! :) And also sorry for the lack of response! Lots of things going on here lately, and it looks like I'm the only active moderator right now...

I would really try to change that: move the CR down to ground level and pout something else up there (office, storage, etc). The issue with building on the second floor is firstly isolation (hard to do), and secondly weight (structural issues). It would make your life a whole lot easier if you keep everything on the ground. Your split level also introduces sight-line issues. - Stuart -
