I am in the process of moving my equipment into a building that we will turn into our private studio. This building has 14 ft ceilings, we are operating on a small but reasonable budget. Are there any books or places I can look so that I can find the best possible way to build this studio. I have heard/read alot about different studio ideas such as raised floors, dropped ceilings, etc. I want the best possible sound in my control room and vocal booth but I am not trying to spend an arm and a leg to get this studio up and running. I dont want to cut corners I am just looking for reasonable solutions that will give us the best sound. If anyone can reccommend some tips they would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

"Are there any books or places I can look so that I can find the best possible way to build this studio" - you've found it - click on the John Sayers logo at upper right, check out all the links there - you'll find pix of studios being built, a complete recording manual, designs for DIY absorbers (wall units link) - then, go to the Construction forum here and read the "sticky" section at the first of the page - more drawings of construction details, as well as do's/dont's, etc - finally, after those resources have answered several of your questions and prompted a few dozen more, you'll be ready to "make sawdust"...
