Hey guys.
This is the drawing of my home recording studio in my conodo bedroom.

Ok
This has changed from that Design, I have obtained more room...
Plans coming up shortly
Here you go
How large is this space, and what height is the ceiling?
Wheres the mix position? I see a couple computer workstations, but none stand out as being in a very good position, or having monitor speakers nearby...
The Room is 17" x 15"
The Ceiling is 7 1/2 high
I have no Idea how I can utilize this space to build my studio.
I need an ISO Booth, Mixing Station.
Can some one kinda give me some ideas of plans for this tight space?
Or is it possible?
Do you need an ISO booth for acoustic instruments or would an amp closet be enough? I haven't looked over your equipment list that closely, but it makes me think of tall racks, stacking instruments, and possibly mounting some equipment on the ceiling. Obxiously last the requires shallow equipment, unless you can recess some of the racking into the ceiling.I need an ISO Booth, Mixing Station
Mounting equipment on the ceiling?
I think I would need a vocal booth. I have professional tracks from
a studio, I just need to lay my vocal tracks.
Then mix it of course
Yes. Here is a photo from Sounds Interchange, a studio designed by Tom Hidley. The shot was taken with an extremely wide angle lens, so the top the top lines are actually straight. The height to the racks in the ceiling is about six and a half feet.Mounting equipment on the ceiling?
I am learning how attach graphics, Here I go again.
Kinda cool, Andre; personally, I think I'd get a stiff neck trying to use any of the "jet cockpit" stuff up there though.
While you're practicing with graphics, could you resize that pic down to about 80% and repost it? Just edit, then click on the button to replace the graphic, then point to the new resized one and click OK, should do it - thanks... Steve
Stiff neck? I would build up my leg muscles standing up and sitting down all the time! That rack is ALL the outboard gear in that studio at the time! Obviously, just from the board, it was a world class studio. I presented it as an option for a sub optimal space.I think I'd get a stiff neck trying to use any of the "jet cockpit" stuff up there though.
Done. I hate having to scroll to see graphics fully, so of course that is the big mistake in my first attempt at d/ling an attachment. While you're practicing with graphics, could you resize that pic down to about 80% and repost it?
Yeah, maybe with all that gear they could have invested in hydraulic chairs with about a 4 foot lift...
BTW, you only needed about a 20% reduction to stop the scrolling - I usually pull things into Paint, check Attributes, and then Stretch/Skew menu and set %'s to give a width of just under 800, maybe 750 pixels. This keeps the pic large enough for decent detail but without the scrolling crap - it's like anything else, do it a few times and you develop a technique... Steve
Geeze, can I wear a Nasa Space Suit for that setup
I have limited amount of space to work with. 17 " x 15 "
Its a living room I am working with..
I can build a rack case and place it under the desks.
