Hello, I have a studio space here in St. Louis, MO that I inherited from a previous failed studio and I've been putting off finishing off one of our isolation booths for too long. It's been ghetto-treated with some sheets of acoustical cotton propped up on mic stands for embarrassingly too long. I'd like to get it looking presentable and sounding great. The room is normally used for isolating guitar cabinets and is occasionally used for other isolation purposes. We have a similar sized room next to it that is finished with acoustical cotton on all the walls and ceiling. It's pretty dead, so I wouldn't mind if this other room that I'm working on would provide a slightly different flavor. The room dimensions are not ideal, but I inherited the walls, so what can you do. The ceiling is canted drywall. There is a window on the short wall between the booths. There's also a mic panel on the long back wall in the corner closest to the window that I'd prefer to leave, but it could probably move if it needs to. I could get some more detailed locations on those two features and some measurements on the ceiling heights. The doors to the booth are double sliding glass doors. I have some materials left over from the studio treatment to be pressed into service for this room. Here's what I have lying around: Owens Corning 705 (2' x 4' x 2"): six sheets Owens Corning 703 (2' x 4' x 1"): six sheets Owens Corning 703 scraps (about 20" x 24"): 10 pieces Acoustical Cotton (8' x 2' x 4.5"): four sheets The room is the one on the left in the attachment (complete with dimensions). I'll be happy to provide more information and answer any questions to help this along. I appreciate the help!
