Glass is not a possibility for my situation between control and live room.
I'm thinking CCTV. Is there a talk-back function? Anyone with experience using one? Recommendations on an affordable but useful one? :?:

Talkback is usually more a function of the console than of the CCTV system. There are CCTV systems with sound, yes, but usually from the camera to the monitor. It would probably be better to implement talkback in the normal manner, rather than to expect that a cheap CCTV system will have pro level sound included.
