I have about 3/4 of a double garage to play with as my all purpose place to do stuff and try not to bother others. The room is kind of an L shape due to one corner being walled off for a laundry. I have done double sheets of CSR sound check gyprock on the outer shell of the existing wall and ceiling. I have removed the inner plasterboard of the existing wall and added bats. I have also stapled bats to the ceiling ( only Australian R3 rockwool bats but they are acoustically rated apparently). I sealed the old roller door holes with a frame then a layer of soundcheck then quietglue ( green glue clone) then more soundcheck then a layer of 16mm marine ply glued to the outside. All the edges are sealed with firesound acoustically rated caulking. I have built my internal walls in 2.4 metre sections and I’m dinobolting them to the concrete floor. I haven’t got them all in place yet so that i can get my self supporting ceiling up. I had to wait to get my furniture in before I sealed the holes from the roller doors as I didn’t think I could get my recliner suite in once I only had the back to back solid doors in place ... one opening out the other opening in. So I have some very large boxes in my way at this point as well as a large pile of soundcheck plasterboard to build around. I am getting my aircon installed next week. Its a Daikin Ururu Sarara 4.2kw split system that has fresh air intake as I have no windows. I’m far from finished and I have most likely done heaps wrong as I have never built a wall before let alone a room inside a room that cant touch the outside room. Its kind of spooky in here with all the bats and no echo Oh well here are some random pics of what’s been going on so far.

That's the other reason I asked you to check the rules... :) You can re-size them with any image program, even the ones built into Windows, and there are many others available, free. - Stuart -
