Hi all, Thanks in advance for taking the time to take a look at this. I'm building a new studio in a former auto repair shop / former stable and carriage house. It's two connected 100 year old brick buildings in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania USA. I'm posting this in the hopes of someone in the forum giving some feedback. Construction is starting soon, and I want to catch any potential issues before it's too late. Here's a link to the Google Sketchup document. It's too big to upload directly to the forum. http://www.studiocrash.com/jssdf/StudioCrashFloorPlan9-22-11.skp In case that doesn't work, I'll attach a jpg of the top down, centered view with perspective off. There are a few limitations I'm not able to change. There are three doors in brick walls I can't move. The only flexibility I have is to move the outside doors within the space where the current garage doors are that are being filled with cinderblock. The man doors need to be an 18" increment inside of the current opening. It's the width of a block. The door in the interior brick wall is centered now, but could move to within 4" of the current edge of the brick opening. Another limitation is the bathroom wall / kitchen wall can't be moved now since the plumber is already digging for the underground pipe work. I'm also maintaining ADA compliance here, so doors need to be 3' wide and the bathroom needs to have 5' clear space around the toilet and sink. The sound lock to the emergency exit in the live room is a little larger than it needs to be to maintain ADA compliance. I plan to make it a little smaller so it doesn't rob the live room of more space than necessary. The little vocal booth in the tight corner along Moyer St will be either enlarged or removed altogether. Any input would be most appreciated. Thanks so much!
