What size of BR is used in the corners and joints of a triple Gyproc wall? I can get 8mm here or 10mm.
What size Backer rod to use?

8mm if the gaps are 5mm, 10mm if the gaps are 8mm. this will put a slight amount of pressure on the backer rod but should be fine.
