I've been reading so much threads about SOIFFIT MOUNT, but I still don't know what's the best way to stand the monitors in the structure. The John's SAE text show us a two boxes soffit structure: Then I saw a Gullfo design. It has only one box: And the STANDS also have a lot of different ways:

Yes, well - there are many different theories about soffit mount as if it was something very serious. Well it's not - it is holding two speakers as rigid as you can and baffling the front projection from the rear projection. Simple - no rocket science involved. cheers john
If you have them filled with sand, concrete or anything else heavy it will do. For speakers you want heavy, rigid stands. You don't want the vibrations of the speaker to go into the stands and make them vibrate as well. If yer gonna mount speakers on'm, place a spring between speaker and stand if possible to break connections.
