Hello all. I was wondering how john gets those cool to scale drawings, seems like even the lines are to scale of 2/4 and 2/6s. I've tried that smart draw program and havent had much success. Anyone have a basic setup they could send me, or project in smart draw with all the settings tweaked for an easy draw. I'd like to post some pics of my space and get peoples ideas.

Does smart draw allow you to view length of angled walls, or were people just using it mainly for visual purposes?
There is a smartdraw web site

eh, I'm too lazy to read a manual, guess its back to draft paper. Ill scan a pic and post it on a comcast page soon.
jamesway - first you have to set the scale
View/define Rulers and Grid.
Then when you draw a rectangle you can right click and select "position and size" and enter the dimensions of the object. If you click on shape properties you can determine how an object expands so if you make it horizontal the object will only expand in one direction.
It's all about geting in there and playing with it. ;);)
cheers
