Im from Deer Park, NY. I have an empty room in my house that I want to use for as a control/mixing room, and in that room contains a closet, that I want to use as an Isobooth. I've read that rooms should be symmetrical for good mixing, but I could really use this booth to help further isolate my recordings from people in the house. The dimensions of my room are 12 ' x 10 '. I've been reading up on forums, and I definitely plan on creating my own bass traps and absorbers out of Owen Cornings 703 and 705 fiberglass encased in a frame, covered with cloth. I plan on making as many as these as possible/needed. I really need help with the placement of these absorbers/bass traps, as well as where I should put my mixing setup. Im going to post a sketchup file that I did. This is a really rough file, and does not include the dimensions of my room, but it shows almost exactly where everything is. The windows are green, doors are white. This room is completely empty. I appreciate the help, thanks!

Looking @ your sketchup file, the control are would be up against the wall to the left, with the closet at your back. The mid range absorbers would straddle the corners in this area, to the left and the right of the mix area. An overhead cloud would really isolate the frequencies to allow for a better mix.
