hello! i played a bit with google sketchup and made a project how my "studio" could look like. its a small room, (3x3,5m) and im goona use it for home recordings. the cabine is necessery cause i dont want to drive my neighbors insane.. window is behind displays.. there are also other components i use, but i was to lazy to draw anything more.. i have no idea if that order will be good for accoustic.. can you give me a tip? monitors: krk rp8 excuse me for my perfect english..

what is going on in the "cabinet" that would drive your neighbors "insane" versus what will be coming out of your speakers? based on your drawing it would be a series of bad choices because your mix environment will suffer terribly. you may be better off isolating the entire room as much as possible and using a screen for the vox mic. this way your vox and mix do not drive anyone crazy and you will have enough space to get some form of acoustical environment set up although it will be very small when it's all done.
thanks for the tip! there are many things going on in the cabaret, or cabinet like :jammin: , :yahoo: and :horse: =) I'll do another drawing with your idea of isolating the entire room. i got a feeling that it'll be a more expensive version.. more materials, more work.. but if the result is a better sound, it should be worth it.. P.S. what is vox?
Found it very useful
