Hi all,
Below my first attempt to my new home studio (Excuse my sketchup capabilities). In my previous home I had a similair setup, it sounded pretty good to me, but after reading this forum I don't think it nearly does the job...
I mainly produce dance music, so I don't need a record studio, just a "control like" studio. What I want to do is:
- Put 10 cm of rockwoll against the walls
- Front left basstrap (Should I use rigid bass traps)?
- Front right basstrap
- back right basstrap
- Some front panel absorbers
- Some left and right panel absorbers
- Some diffusors on the back wall
I'm still figuring out in what I can do for the parallel site walls (without lossing to much space) and if the windows on the right will be a problem. (I have heavy drapes for them though).
Any advice is very welcome!

that is the right way to set it up, use corner absorbers - wall-ceiling are also corners - to provide LF trapping and use flat absorbers on the side walls and ceiling at first reflection points. use additional thicker absorbers in between the front speakers and on the back wall and ceiling behind the mix position. depending on your acoustic measurements (using REW is a good choice) to determine if you need heavy clouds or other fixes.
