i think the entry door next to the corner by the LR is tight. one more thought - if you're basement is clear - lay it out using 2" painters tape. line it up with where your drywall ends so you can get a feel for how it will actually be to walk around in it. some more things to consider - you don't have to have a corner control room. it might just be easier and better to have rectangular rooms with angled treatments.

Hi Glenn,
That door is just roughed in. It's not actually measured at this point so I am not too concerned about it.
As far as laying down tape goes, I wish I could. Unfortunately, the basement is far from clear and I am going to have to gut it before I could lay that tape down.
If you look at the very first design I posted, you will see that I was originally thinking along the lines of square rooms as well but I was under the impression that creating rooms along the lines of the latest designs, would lead to better acoustics and sound proofing. Like I said, I am a newbie at this, so maybe I am way off base on that. If I went back to a design like the original one, it would definitely minimize on the amount of construction I would have to do and allow me not to worry about the posts as I could use the space between them for the window from the CR. I really didn't mind the layout of the first design and with the exception of the live room, ISO, and computer room being there, that is pretty well what my basement is like now.
Thanks,
Tom
it comes down to your preferences for working as well. in the latest sketch, you have the window to the side which some people do not like but often times its useful for everyone in the room as opposed to trying to peer out between the console the soffits... in the last one i didn't include the machine closet but some of the isobooth could be shifted to accommodate it.
