Well you’re doing a good job of staying on top of it. 9 times out of 10 by the time I log in to see what’s new, the latest spam has usually been canned and banned.
I’ve run forums before and my theory is that these spammers are getting paid for SEO services in which they promise their clients a certain number of inbound links to their website. The spammers don’t care if the links are located on sites that are not related to the product (shoes etc) just as long as they can show their client a statistical result.
What baffles me is that companies actually pay these SEO goons for a service that is basically useless (as well as wasting your time as a moderator).
