We will soon get our hands on a new room with the dimensions 9,6x6,45x3,5m to move our small studio (Raving Mad Monkey) to. The location is 3 floors underground in an office building with only storage as neighbours for multiple floors so isolation for and against the outside world is not of importance. The type of music will mostly be metal or heavy rock, live drums, cranked amps, so isolation in-between the live room and the control room is more important. The yellow wall in the empty room is a brick wall, the others are drywall with two concrete pillars in them at the middle of the room as seen on the empty room picture. The floor is concrete, no floors below it, the roof is concrete as well. What we want are a live room that will double a rehearsal space and a control room. In addition to that a small storage room and a smaller room that we can make as dead as possible are nice/useful but not really required. Playing a bit with sketchup to find a good layout of the room, getting good ratios between the areas of the different rooms we have come up with the attached floorplan. The idea is based on the SAE-control-room in a corner plan, found somewhere on this forum. Any obvious practical or accoustic problems with the floorplan? (The measures on all pictures except the empty room are really an estimate and not correct to the cm)

Welcome! Please update your profile with your location. It looks like a decent plan. If your isolation is actually good enough then this should be pretty straightforward to build.
