Hello, Looking for some advise. I have a space inside the external walls ( external insulated wall, air gap 50- 100 mm, 90 mm frame, insulated walls with 18mm soundcheck pasterboard ) of my studio. Was hoping to frame a free standing drum/instrument room with floating floor and timber lined walls. For the roof I wanted to use sheets of Acoustisorb II tontine 100mm batts to give an illustion of height. The room size is approx 2800mm w * 4500mm l * 2400mm h. Do you think the space would be sufficient Would appreciate any thoughts Morrie1
I think your space is a bit too small to build another room within it but consider starting with a decoupled drum platform and then some gobs and see if that works. If note, maybe just adding an additional wall with a sliding glass door or two walls and two doors will meet the need. Please update your profile with your location. Thanks!
Thanks Glenn, Have updated my profile. Don't whether I made my question 100% clear. The proposed size will be the internal dimentions avaliable for the booth, not the whole studio space. I have a vocal booth and a resonable monitoring/control area. I'f you still think that room is too small do you think it is the 2800 width that is the problem? Thanks for your thoughts Morrie1
ok, that is the booth size which i think is reasonable.
