Just found loads of old computer / office chairs (the adjustable / recliner on wheels type) in a skip. Most of them are in pieces = the seats and backs are separate from frame. Basically , just loads of oval shaped ply heavily padded and covered with blue fabric. All shaped for back / arse comfort. Out of context (not on chair frame) are very striking to the eye! Thats how I noticed them.
I thought, I could do some art with them.... or.... use them to create some kind of acoustic panel.
Current thinking - Cut ply to a round / oval shape, screw the pieces to the ply to create a cloud or acoustic panel....
I'm sure they will have striking effect in studio..... as well as quality absorber!
Am I a :horse: ?
Or am I a :yahoo: ?

maybe hang them from the ceiling at different heights and angles, some with the hard back facing down, other absorptive side down to create an interest and perhaps some diffusiveness.
