Hi
I'm in Malaysia at my wife's fathers house and I have a room that I need to turn into a rehearsal space as fast as possible. I'm not working so I have a lot of time right now to do this  So I'm in the research/do it now stage, and looking for locations here to buy materials. We have a few shows coming up and need to turn the room into a practice space. I have an intermediate grasp of acoustic treatment and have done our place back in the states but would like to get some other ideas to bounce off of.
Obejective
To create a space with minimal re verb time and clarity so a group of 5 musicians can practice and here each other.
I am not concerned about isolation or diffusion, just getting enough abortion in to be able to comfortably play in the room.
Loudness
Americana folk music with Drums, vocals, guitar, bass. So at a decent volume but not heavy metal and not sensitive singer song writer
Dimensions and construction details
-room dimensions are 14' x 20', 11' high with one dual doors 6' wide in the corner on the length wise wall
-concrete walls and ceiling with commercial carpet flooring
-reverb time from ats site 125hz 4.20 250hz 1.99 500hz 1.20 100hz 0.99 2000hz 0.84 4000hz 0.76
-no windows
-budget is $1,000 us
-I don't know the specifics of the studs and interior of the walls, but I know they are thick enough to drill wholes in them and hang panels.
As you can see the re-verb time makes this room hard to play more than one instrument at a time. My main concern is trying to get away with not using clouds because of the cost and need of hiring someone to come in and do it.
Currently i'm thinking
-putting a thick curtain 8' high along the back wall to take care of some highs
-Buying bulk Roxuol rolls, stacking them to the ceiling and putting them in the 4 corners
-Buying 12 4" panels and placing 5 of them along the length wise walls and 2 on the opposing wall of the curtain
-I'd also like to make a movable barrier with absorption for the drummer
I'm not sure how to know if this is enough absorption for clarity?
If the ATS calculator site says that I need 28 panels to start, would 12x 4" panels, 4x roxul bass traps in the corners, and a walled off curtain suffice?
Thanks for your help

welcome! it sounds like a good first start in terms of numbers. you can either increase or decrease the number based on how the room actually responds. on the cloud issue - you could hang the 2'x4' absorbers scattered on the ceiling to break up that space and it shouldn't be too much weight. hang the absorbers down off the ceiling about 16" (400mm).
