i want to mix and record vocals in this room. how can i best treat it on a budget

i would turn things around- put the mix desk where the sofa is, put the bed or sofa where the mix desk is. then treat the corners, first reflection points including the ceiling, and something on the back wall (next to door and closet). see how that works.
there is a window behind the the sofa, would that affect it? can some auralex and diy bass trap be used on the walls to get the best sound for mixing? i also use the closet as a booth
cover the window with a heavy drape.
then will be able to mix good right?
i think this will be a better mix position. the drape, folded so its deep will be fine. if not, worse case you may need to have an absorber or two on stands behind you to shape things up.
