Long time lurker, first time poster.
I'm slapping together a new post control room in a warehouse space. Basically a 25X19 foot space for this stage, more add ons later. I want to make this for client comfort. What do you all think of this initial idea?
Concrete floor to be covered with Pergo-type. Room within a room style, with 2 layers sheet rock.
Post control Room Preliminary Design

welcome! slapping together isn't really an option unless its a party... it looks like a nice floor plan but you also need to take into account all the magickal secret stuff like air flow, isolation, absorption, bass trapping, etc. so you will want to dive further into the design to take those aspects into account.
Great to see the denizens of RSDF are as fastidious as GearSlutz.
I promise not to "slap it together." I was speaking in jest of my timetable. I need to do it quickly, and cheaply, but not shoddy. I swear.
The ceiling is 40 Ft. the space is a total of 2500 sq ft (25X100), for mixed use. The front 19X25will need to be cleared. Iso booths will be made later. When the money is there. so, on the 12 of whenever.
After I figure out the floorplan, I'll deal with airflow, and whatnot. But floorplan first! I have absorption and diffusion ready to employ.10 panels of 2X4 703 covered in burlap, with a 1" gap (pic included). Plus 10 Tfusors.
I'm thinking the control is maybe a bit large. Rotating 80 degrees counter clockwise, and shrinking. I did say "preliminary." I'm doing a walk tomorrow. My electrician gave me a good lecture. My biggest problem is HVAC and money related to dealing with that issue. Once I get a floorplan I should be able to deal with that issue better.

it might be easier if you could post a diagram of the space available and indicate the proposed use and any restrictions - doors, windows, pipes, etc. is this a commercial or private space?
The only door is in there, from the outside. It is a commercial space that is 25'X100', of which I will be using about 1/3 total. For phase 1 of this project, I plan to only build the control room, taking up the 25X19 space indicated in the drawing. There are no pipes, doors, or window considerations, other than the entry door. Ceiling is clear up to 40' high!
There is an existing AC unit I will tie into (I just found out about it today). Only the back shop and the control will be on it. I'm planning on putting some minis on the ISO rooms built in the future. Working on stage two construction plans now. I'll post those later.
