Hi everyone, Ive been looking at the spark one container studio ( the original container with w CR and Booth). One of the pictures shows that a drum kit can be placed and played within the booth. Question is: what is the smallest, usable size for a drum booth? in your own opinion based on a 2.4m wide space.
roughly 2.4m square for an acoustic kit would be starting to feel small when you factor in booth treatments etc. it really depends on the kit size and the performer as well.
thanks for the response glenn looking at the size internally after treatments e.t.c based on a inside out construction design. Wanted some opinions to what people believe is manageable with a standard acoustic kit.

Usually a standard drum kit on stage is placed on a 2x2m riser but.. with no space to walk around it. To me 2,4x2,4m is not enough space also if a std kit fits.
agreed but what can you do if the space is limited? maybe extend the long dimension and turn the kit? sometimes you just have to do your best with what you have. worst case, use the live performance to trigger samples...
Me too I think you have to extend long dimension. Maybe 30 cm can be enough. You can put all around mic stands, drummer can still reach the throne and you (in very slim mode) can go inside and move mikes if needed.. My experience is a riser in my old studio 2x2,5 m with drum facing 2,5. sometimes my mic stands went off the riser (read inside your walls). Some more centimeters in one of the dimensions can change the thing a lot. Ciao!
