Hello,
I am building a studio. The room dimensions are 11x17x 9 feet high. I was told form an acoustical site that I had to slope my ceiling 3 feet for the best result(with bass). Do I have to slope 3 feet? Can I slope one foot? or do I have to slope at all?
I love the height of the room and this will def kill it but if in exchange it takes care of a lot of bass issues Im willing to do it. Just wondering if anyone went through the same thing.
Thanks for your time.

the sloping depends on what you're trying to achieve. there are plenty of rooms with a rectangular shape and proper assortment of treatments which have excellent characteristics. where are you in Bergen?
Hey Im right next door to you. Rivervale.
Isn't it cheaper to build the room correctly than to buy acoustical treatment to solve an issue once the room is done. I know that no room is perfect and im sure ill have my issues but im trying to minimize them with the construction.
There are numerous variables and room geometry is one of them. Depending on circumstances, angling the isolation ceiling may be the right choice. It also might not be... Send me a note (you can get my email off my site) and let's see if we can review your room this week or next as we're only 5 minutes apart...
